Introduction

 

2D Resistivity Imaging uses an array of electrodes (typically 60/ 120) connected by multicore cable to provide a linear depth profile, or pseudosection, of the variation in resistivity both along the survey line and with depth.

 

Except the above mentioned differences on parameters and connection of solid non-polarized electrodes, multi-electrode 2D resistivity imaging system and 2D IP imaging system are the same on instrument operation, please refer to operation guide to the multi-electrode 2D resistivity imaging system in Section Seven.

 

ERI: means Multi-electrode electric Res imaging method, which is the extension of 1D Res VES. Layout dozens or hundreds electrode on one survey line, with automatic conversion of control electrode, the instrument completes automatic composition and fast measurement of many kind of array and program in Res method. It realizes combined measurement of electric profiling and electric sounding and is benefit for shorten time and gaining section information.

 

IP ERI: means Multi-electrode IP imaging method, which is the extension of IP method measurement. Layout dozens or hundreds electrode on one survey line, with automatic conversion of control electrode, the instrument completes automatic composition and fast measurement of many kind of array and program in IP method.
