Earthquake Strong Motion Accelerometer Seismograph With Triaxial Sensor
Strong motion instruments can be used to measure some earthquakes whose ground motion is so strong that it exceeds the measurement range of ordinary seismographs. They would be placed near major faults, and the resulting data, such as the advancing velocity of the fault rupture front, would not be available to ordinary seismometers.
Strong motion instruments are widely used in seismic stations, mobile stations, nuclear power plants, dams, reservoirs, slopes, high-rise buildings, high-speed rail, subways, oil depots, oil and gas pipelines and other projects
