1. Real-time measurement: Loosen stop screw of the reel to allow free rotation
2. Turn on power button (power indicator light will illuminate)
3. Insert water level probe into tube while holding steel ruler cable to lower probe slowly
4. When probe contacts water surface, receiving system will emit continuous beep
5. Ruler cable depth reading indicates water level depth

Note for noisy environments: Use peak indicating method by turning switch to voltage level and following same procedure. When probe contacts water surface, voltmeter will indicate immediately.
